Golden Belt and the Hosiery Mill

Through the blog on the Durham Skate Park, the Durham Con­ven­tion and Vis­i­tors Bureau con­tacted me because there were inter­ested in some of my pho­tos.  Since I love show­ing off my pho­tos and my home­town, I jumped at the oppor­tu­nity to share my work.  Now I’m look­ing for­ward to work­ing with them more and show­cas­ing the rich his­tory and inter­est­ing archi­tec­ture of the Bull City.

Today I headed down to the Golden Belt Man­u­fac­tur­ing Com­pany and Durham Hosiery Mill #1, two great places in Durham I didn’t even know existed until a few years ago.  One of the great things that pho­tog­ra­phy has done for me has been to encour­age me to get out and explore, and these are the sorts of things I’m likely to find after some wandering.
