Love.

As Isaac gets older, there are fewer and fewer oppor­tu­ni­ties when he will really coop­er­ate when I have a cam­era in hand. The moments when I can actu­ally col­lab­o­rate on pho­tos with a three and a half year old are price­less. I love the infre­quent moments when he not only humors me by stand­ing in front of the cam­era, but adds to the process.

And, of course, it is grat­i­fy­ing when he wants to hold his cam­era (a Holga I gave him) while we’re shoot­ing, so he can be like dad.
