Abandoned Sofa
I’m not sure what it is about this image of an old sofa I found, but I keep coming back to it, intrigued. It seems somehow important to my development as a photographer. Maybe it’s the starkness of it, the bone whiteness of the sofa against the weirdly blue sky. Whatever it is, this image, and some others like it, mark a different direction for me in terms of processing, as I’ve been playing around more with colors, contrast, and texture. It may only be a temporary diversion, but I can’t help but think it will continue to inform whatever later photos I take.
