In Search of Clear Skies
Recently, I decided to take break from social media, namely Facebook. I don’t know how long the break will last, but I plan to keep it open ended. To be clear, I don’t harbor any ire towards Facebook or anything like that. It’s just that it can be such a time sink, and I already have enough of those in life. I am hoping to focus my energy more on photographing, on this website, and just on doing more productive things.
Even though I won’t be updating Facebook when I update these blogs, I hope you’ll still check in on me, see what I’m up to, see what I’m thinking. I am definitely hoping to take some more time to write thoughtful blogs about craft and gear and the relationship between the two. And I hope to be taking the time to go out and collect lots of good photographs to sprinkle amongst the text as this is, after all, a photography site first and foremost, in spite of my tendency to prattle on about other things.
I will say that despite my making Facebook less accessible, I find that it is a more pervasive part of my life than I realized. I remember getting along just fine for many years without it, so here’s to fresh air, clear skies, and renewed focus on the things that matter most.
