Return to the Durham Skatepark

My, how time flies! Somehow it’s been almost two years since the last time I visited the Durham Skatepark, right after it had opened. Looking back through the archives, I can’t believe it’s already been that long. I headed back yesterday because I was nearby, had my camera, had my now almost three year old son, had some time to kill, and had what looked like could be some epic skies and clouds. We were not disappointed. Thanks to all the skaters who let us photograph their successes and failures (don’t worry, I’m not posting the failures). The skatepark is definitely a fun place to visit, even if you’re not into skating at all, and at the risk of making it mainstream and uncool, I recommend locals check it out!
