New Perspectives, Familiar Places
It’s super easy to get jaded in your hometown, to feel like you’ve shot the same things from the same angles in the same ways a million times over. When I return home from a trip, I always try to approach the familiar with those fresh eyes I had when seeing new things wherever I was. Sometimes, I employ new techniques to freshen things up, as I did in this one, using a 10-stop neutral density filter to enable a long exposure (two minutes!) during afternoon daylight.
I wish there’d been a little less traffic and a little more cloud movement (and a LOT less dust on my sensor!) for this one, but I’ll take it.
