The Story
I have many favorite images taken at many weddings–staged moments, candid moments, cheesy moments and serious moments. Black and white, color, raucous or quiet, the only constant of these photos, other than the photographer behind the camera–is that all of these images tell a story. Some of the stories are small, and some are big, but they capture something essential about that moment of that day in the lives of these people.
These moments are the reasons I photograph at all.
Above is an image from a recent wedding, and probably one of my favorite wedding photographs ever, as it says so much in so little space so efficiently.
To me it is the most perfect expression of everything I strive to communicate when photographing a wedding.
I hope you like it, too.
